■……例えば、動物園から死亡した動物をもらってきたり、あるいはどこかで駆除された動物をもらって全部骨にするとか、そんなことをやるんですね。
昨日は例えば、ヌートリアを22匹ばらして骨にする作業をやっていたんですね。
○ヌートリアですか。
■だいたいヌートリアを二十数匹ばらせば、1日がだいたい終わっちゃいますね（笑）。
○自分には実際の作業量は分かりませんが、そりゃそうでしょうね。ではもう本当にモグラだけではなくて、幅広い動物の標本作りをやっていらっしゃるわけですか？
■そうですね。
○結構でかいものも？
■最近だとライオン、キリン、シマウマと動物園で死んで、今月は結構盛りだくさんでしたね。大物を3つばらしたのかな。
○ああ、なるほど、では 遠藤秀紀先生 が本で書いていらしたような……？

『 美学vs.実利 「チーム久夛良木」対任天堂の総力戦15年史」 』 は、いまはSCEI名誉会長職にある久夛良木健氏率いるソニー・コンピュータエンタテインメント（SCE）のプレイステーション陣営が、いかにしてプレステ２で一時代を築き、そしてプレステ３でWiiに敗れていったかが、主に久夛良木陣営の立場から描かれています。この本ではSCEこそ「ロマンの会社」であり、それは技術者でもある久夛良木氏のキャラクターによるところが大きいとされています。面白い本としてネットでも評判にもなっていますので、既に読んだ方も多いでしょう。
