調査は、昨年10月、原発から約40キロほど離れた計画的避難区域の福島県飯舘村北部でコオロギ500匹、60〜80キロ離れた本宮市役所付近や須賀川市北部、桑折町役場付近、猪苗代町の猪苗代湖付近の水田でイナゴ計2000匹を採集した。

政府と福島県は来年度、同県の新生児の母親のうち希望者を対象に、母乳の放射性物質の検査を実施することを決めた。福島第1原発事故の影響が母乳を通じて子供に及ぶことを懸念する母親の不安解消を目指す。環境省の外局として4月に発足する予定の原子力安全庁(仮称)の12年度予算案に、事業費5億6000万円を計上し、県の県民健康管理基金に組み込んで活用する。
