京都大学大学院医学研究科の小林拓也講師と学習院大学、米Stanford Universityの研究チームは、Gたんぱく共役受容体(GPCR)の1つ、ムスカリンM2受容体の立体構造を世界で初めて解明した。2012年1月26日にNature誌オンライン速報版に発表した。科学技術振興機構(JST)のERATO型研究「岩田ヒト膜受容体構造プロジェクト」(研究総括は京都大学大学院医学研究科の岩田想教授・写真)の成果。
