こんにちは。第2、第4金曜日を担当する日経バイオテク副編集長の河野修己です。
京都大学大学院薬学研究科の教授だった辻本豪三氏が7月31日に収賄の容疑で逮捕されました。直接の容疑は研究機器の納入業者から賄賂を受け取ったというものですが、辻本元教授を巡ってはこの業者に4億円近い預け金があることが分かっていました。辻本元教授は預け金の存在が発覚した後、大学を自主退職していました。
