米Spectrum Pharmaceuticals社と米Allos Therapeutics社は2012年8月28日、両社が先日発表したSpectrum社によるAllos社の発行済み全普通株式の買収計画に関して、米連邦取引委員会（FTC）が1976年Hart-Scott-Rodino反トラスト改正法に基づく待機期間を終了したと発表した。

東京大学医科学研究所の倉島洋介・日本学術振興会特別研究員と國澤純准教授、清野宏教授らは、免疫異常により慢性の腸炎になる炎症性腸疾患を悪化させる分子機構の1つを突き止めた。腸内細菌や傷害を受けた組織などから細胞外に放出されたアデノシン三リン酸（ATP）が、肥満細胞の表面にあるP2X7受容体を結合することで、肥満細胞が活性化され、炎症性腸疾患の悪化につながることを見いだした。この研究は、東大医科研の伊庭英夫教授、大阪大学の飯島英樹講師、東京理科大学/理化学研究所免疫・アレルギー科学総合研究センターの久保允人教授らの協力を得て行った。英Nature Communications誌のオンライン版で2012年9月4日（英国時間）に成果を公開した。
