岡崎開催の第2回ゲノム編集研究会に170人、ヒトiPSからモデル動物、魚類、植物まで15件の最新成果  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2012-9-21 0:08)

TALENやZFNなどの人工ヌクレアーゼの技術を用いて、さまざまな生物の遺伝子のノックアウトやノックインを実現する研究の最新成果を発表する第2回ゲノム編集研究会が、自然科学研究機構の岡崎コンファレンスセンター（愛知県岡崎市）で2012年9月20日に開催され、170人ほどの参加者が集まった。最新成果の発表演題数は15件。そのうち7割から8割ほどは、ゲノム編集研究会を主催する広島大学大学院理学研究科数理分子生命理学専攻の山本卓教授や佐久間哲史・日本学術振興会特別研究員PDらとの共同研究の成果だったようだ。「PCR、RNAiに続く生物技術の革命では」と、閉会のあいさつの最初で、徳島大学ソシオテクノサイエンス研究部の野地澄晴教授は話した。野地教授は山本教授らとの共同研究により、人工ヌクレアーゼ技術を用いてコオロギで標的遺伝子を破壊する成果を2012年8月にNature姉妹誌（Nature Communications誌）に発表した。
