米ACADIA Pharmaceuticals社は2012年11月27日、パーキンソン病に伴う精神症状（PDP）を有する患者を対象にpimavanserin（ピマバンセリン）の有効性、忍容性、安全性を評価していた中枢フェーズIII試験で得られた有望なトップライン結果を発表した。pimavanserinは同社専有の非ドーパミン性薬剤候補で、セロトニン5-HT2A受容体の選択的拮抗薬だ。この発表を受け、同社の株価は同日3.32ドル、144.3％上昇した。

米Seattle Genetics社、FDAがADCETRISを、稀少疾病用医薬品に指定と発表

米Seattle Genetics社は2012年11月26日、米食品医薬品局（FDA)が菌状息肉症 (MF)を対象疾患として、ADCETRIS (ブレンツキシマブ)を稀少疾病用医薬品に指定したと発表した。MFは、皮膚T細胞リンパ腫(CTCL)では、最も一般的なタイプの疾患である。Seattle Genetics 社と日本の武田薬品工業の子会社であるMillennium社は共同で、MFを含むCD30陽性再発CTCL患者を対象として、フェーズIII臨床試験を進めている。ADCETRIS はCTCLの治療薬としては承認されていない。

中外製薬は2012年11月27日、抗CD20抗体GA101（obinutuzumab）について、日本新薬との共同開発・販売契約を締結した。日本新薬は契約一時金と、開発の進捗に応じたマイルストーンを、中外製薬に支払う。
