Gilead社、YM BioSciences社を5億1000万ドルで買収  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2012-12-14 9:30)

米Gilead Sciences社とカナダYM BioSciences社は2012年12月12日、Gilead社がYM社を1株当たり2.95ドルの現金で買収することで最終合意に達したと発表した。買収総額は約5億1000万ドルとなる。YM社のリード薬剤候補「CYT387」は、骨髄線維症対象のフェーズI/II試験で有望結果を示しており、Gilead社はCYT387の中枢フェーズIII試験の開始を計画している。

糖転移ヘスペリジン・ビタミンP研究会の第4回研究発表会が2012年12月12日に大阪市で開催され、90人ほどが参加した。。糖転移ヘスペリジンは、2012年7月に伊藤園や大正製薬が相次ぎ、これを配合商品を中性脂肪高め対策の特定保健用食品（トクホ）として発売してヒット商品になるなど、注目度が高まっている。今回の研究発表会では、北海道大学大学院農学研究院の原博教授が消化管ホルモンGLP-1の分泌を刺激する作用、林原研究開発本部応用研究部がPPARγアゴニスト作用を介したオートファジー促進、愛知医科大学医学部生理学講座の西村直記講師が長時間椅座位による下腿部浮腫の軽減など、糖転移ヘスペリジンの新機能に関する発表が相次いだ。
