日経バイオテク1月14日号「World Trend 米国」、調剤製品で大規模事故、FDAによる監視は実現するか

2012年10月、マサチューセッツ州にあるNew England Compounding Center（NECC）という薬局で調剤された腰痛治療ステロイド（酢酸メチルプレドニゾン）の硬膜外注射を受けた患者に髄膜炎が多数発生していることが分かった。米食品医薬品局（FDA）と米疾病対策センター（CDC）が調査したところ、処方されたバイアルから、真菌が確認された。12月17日時点で620人の患者の感染が確認され、そのうち39人が死亡した。

続報、農水省、補正予算20億円で健康リスク低減農林水産物供給システム開発へ、「攻めの農林水産業」前倒し

農林水産省は、2013年1月15日に閣議決定された2012年度補正予算で、「機能性を持つ農林水産物・食品開発プロジェクト」を進める。予算額は20億円で、事業実施主体は、農水省系の独立行政法人である農業・食品産業技術総合研究機構（農研機構、NARO）。2月上旬と見込まれる国会における補正予算の承認後に、研究課題などを公募して実施する。公募の前にアイデア提案会を開き、流通大手や食品加工の関係者などからアイデアを募集する。プロジェクトはこの20億円を用いて複数年度実施する。最長で2015年度までを予定している。
