現在、薄暗い厚労省の地下のSUBWAYでこのメールを書いております。エネルギーの節約のためか？とにかく暗くて、誠に辛気くさい。これでは明るい智恵は浮かびません。率先垂範も宜しいですが、いかに事務効率を改善するかにも気を配らなくては、お役所の効率は低下するばかりです。日本を動かしているのですから、萎縮したふりだけでは事は前に進みません。

米National Biodiesel Board（NBB）は2013年1月23日、米環境保護庁（EPA）が1月中旬にリリースした2012年末の生産統計を基に、2012年の米バイオディーゼル生産量は2年続けて10億（1 billion）ガロンの大台を再び突破したと発表した。2012年の全生産量はほぼ11億ガロンで、2011年の生産量に比べ横ばいで600万ガロンだけ多かった。
