東京大学の生産技術研究所に2013年4月、「炎症・免疫制御学社会連携研究部門」が新設された。設置した民間企業はボナックと協和発酵キリン、経費総額は1億5000万円、設置期間は2013年4月から2018年3月まで。

東京大学に2013年4月に新設された寄付講座・寄付研究部門が2013年4月12日に公表された。寄付講座は5講座が新設され、そのうちバイオテクノロジー関連は、医学系研究科の「肺高血圧先進医療研究学」と「免疫療法管理学」、工学系研究科の「環境調和型エネルギー資源開発工学」。寄付研究部門は2013年4月の新設は無かった。
