レトロウイルスベクターと、自社で開発した製品「レトロネクチン」を併用する遺伝子治療。タカラバイオが実用化を目指す遺伝子治療のコアコンセプトはこれだ。レトロネクチンは、レトロウイルスベクターと標的細胞の結合を促進することで、遺伝子導入効率を向上できる組み換えたんぱく質試薬。遺伝子治療の中でも、体外で細胞に遺伝子を導入して患者に戻す「体外遺伝子治療」で広く用いられている。また、レトロネクチンにはT細胞の拡大培養の効率を上げる作用もある。
