京都府立医科大学は2013年7月11日、疑惑が指摘されていたKYOTO HEART Study（KHS）に関する調査結果を発表した。調査により、主要評価項目に直接関係するデータの操作が確認された。約3000人の患者が参加した国内有数の規模の臨床研究は、全く意味の無いものであったことが明確になった。

タカラバイオは2013年7月11日、細胞培養用の試薬についてニッピと販売契約を締結したと発表した。契約対象は世界市場で、日本では7月16日に発売する。
