ドイツBASF社は2013年9月4日、米ノースカロライナ州Research Triangle Park(RTP)に新しい研究施設が完成、開所式を挙行したと発表した。3300万ドルをかけて拡充された施設には、8万平方フィート(約7400平方メートル)のオフィス、研究室、温室設備などが含まれている。式典にはノースカロライナ州のPat McCrory知事、州のSteve Troxler農業コミッショナー、米下院議員David Price氏、William Bell Durham市長などが参列した。
