文部科学省共同利用・共同研究拠点である大阪大学微生物病研究所(阪大RIMD)の伊川正人教授らは、CRISPR/Cas9を用いてKOマウスを迅速・低コストで大量作製する技術を開発し、その成果の一部を2013年11月27日、英Nature Publishing Groupのオープンアクセス誌であるScientific Reports誌で発表した。
