第36回分生年会の“ガチ議論”の会場での終了は21時半過ぎ、「次もまたガチやって欲しい」と近藤年会長

大阪大学の近藤滋教授が年会長を務める第36回日本分子生物学会年会で2013年12月5日18時から、「生命科学研究を考えるガチ議論」が神戸国際会議場メインホール（座席数650人規模）で開催された。近藤教授が代表を務め、藤田保健衛生大学の宮川剛教授らが中心となって準備を進めてきたガチ議論には、内閣府総合科学技術会議の原山優子常勤議員と元文部科学副大臣・元参議院議員の鈴木寛氏、ヤフーの安宅和人執行役員CSO、それに文部科学省からは川上伸昭政策評価審議官と斉藤卓也タスクフォース室長が近藤教授と宮川教授と登壇し、モデレーターは京都大学学際教育研究推進センターの宮野公樹准教授/総長学事補佐が務めた。宮野准教授は文科省研究振興局参事官（ナノテクノロジー・物質・材料担当）付の学術調査官も務めている。さらに、フロアからは、日本学術会議第二部長を務めている山本正幸・基礎生物学研究所所長（かずさDNA研究所所長から10月1日に就任）が議論に参加した。ガチ議論が終了したのは21時半過ぎ。12月5日が初日だった神戸ルミナリエの終了予定時刻21時を30分過ぎていた。
