日本健康・栄養食品協会（日健栄協）は「平成26年健康食品新春セミナー」を2014年1月17日午前中に1時間、都内で開催し、200人ほどが参加した。最初に「社会保障制度と健康食品」と題した講演を行った鴨下一郎・衆議院議員（医学博士）は、自ら幹事長を務めている「健康食品の機能性表示」研究会の取り組みも紹介した。続いて内閣官房健康・医療戦略室の藤本康二参事官が「健康・医療政策について」と題して講演した。

新規のパクリタキセル経口製剤であるDHP107のフェーズ1/2試験から、推奨量（RD）を200mg/m2とした場合の忍容性は良好で、進行胃がんのセカンドライン治療としてパクリタキセルと同等に有効である可能性が示された。1月16日から19日まで米サンフランシスコで開催されているGastrointestinal Cancer Symposium（ASCO-GI）で、韓国Ulsan University College of Medicine、Asan Medical CenterのMin-Hee Ryu氏が発表した。
