今朝はそろそろアブラゼミが鳴き始めた東京から松山に向かい第18回がん免疫学会を取材、途中から東京に飛んで戻り、バイオインダストリー協会が立ち上げた科学的エビデンスに基づいた機能性食品の研究会（正式名称は協会に問い合わせて下さい）のキックオフに参加いたします。つまりうろうろしているだけですが、それにしても松山に行って良かった。スタッフからの報告で米国臨床腫瘍学会が抗PD-1抗体などT細胞性の免疫抑制解除薬（免疫チェックポイント阻害剤）を中心としたイムノセラピーの発表ばかりだったという印象を聞いたところですが、この熱気はわが国にも間違いなく押し寄せております。昨年までのがんペプチドワクチン主流ががらりと変化しており、しかもどちらかというとマニアックな腫瘍免疫学者の集まりだった学会の参加者も大幅に増加、松山市で一番大きいひめぎんホールがほぼ満員という盛況です。手術、放射線療法、化学療法、標的薬・抗体医薬に続き、イムノセラピーががんの治療法の第5の柱となったことは間違いありません。世界に先駆けて、わが国で小野薬品が抗PD-1抗体（ニボルマブ）の認可を獲得したことも、熱気に油を注ぐ結果となりました。し ...
