米Weyerhaeuser社は2014年7月24日、米DuPont Pioneer社と技術ライセンス契約を締結したと発表した。DuPont Pioneer社はこのライセンス技術を活用して、食糧、飼料、繊維などの増大する世界需要に見合うよう種子技術を進展させてゆく。

昨年、アンジェスMGの副社長を退任した村山正憲氏が、再生医療ベンチャーでバイオビジネスに再挑戦しようとしている。村山氏は創業期のアンジェスMGで社長を務め、退任後の2003年に抗体などバイオ医薬の研究開発を行うワイズセラピューティクスを設立。2011年にアンジェスMGの副社長に復帰し、昨年3月に退任していた。
