火曜日（2014年9月9日）から木曜日（9月11日）まで札幌にて、日本油化学会
第53回年会と、日本生物工学会第66回大会を取材していました。会場は両学会
とも札幌市内で、懇親会は「ロイトン札幌」の同じ会場。懇親会は9月10日が生
物工学会、9月11日が油化学会でした。連日同じ会場に遭遇したのは、今回が初
めてです。2つとも出席なさった方はどのくらいいらしたのでしょうか。
札幌は水曜日の夜、落雷と大雨が一晩中続きまして、公共交通機関にも大きな
影響が出ました。自然の猛威を目の当たりにしまして、今日は、東京の晴れた穏
かな天候に、改めて感謝する気持ちになりました（しかしその後、夕方、雨足の
強い雨に出会ってしまいました）。
