フェリング・ファーマは2014年11月28日、国内初の天然型プロゲステロン膣剤である「ルティナス膣錠」（プロゲステロン）を、2014年12月5日付で発売すると発表した。同日のプレスセミナーで講演した、山王病院リプロダクション・婦人科内視鏡治療センターの藤原俊博センター長は、合成黄体ホルモン剤と比べた天然型プロゲステロンの有用性などについて説明した。

富士経済、健康志向食品市場の2014年見込みは3.2％増の1兆2889億円、2015年は微減と予測

富士経済は2014年11月28日、健康や美容に良いというコンセプトを持った食品（以下、H・Bフーズ）の日本市場を調査した結果の一部を発表した。機能性を訴求する一般加工食品の「明らか食品」と「ドリンク類」の市場を、2014年8月から10月まで3回に分けて、訴求効能別、成分種類別に調査・分析した。健康志向食品の日本市場は2014年に1兆2889億円と、2013年の1兆2485億円に比べ3.2％拡大すると見込んでいる。ドリンク類の構成比が高まっており、ドリンク類の構成比は68％と、明らか食品の32％の2倍以上と見込む。ドリンク類では、熱中症対策飲料やエナジードリンク、特定保健用食品（トクホ）茶系飲料の伸びが市場拡大に寄与している。

今週は火曜日（11月25日）から木曜日（11月27日）まで、パシフィコ横浜で第37回日本分子生物学会年会が開催され、7000人以上が集まりました。年会長は、10月10日に理化学研究所統合生命医科学研究センターのセンター長に就任した小安重夫さんが務めました。それまでセンター長代理とのことで、不思議な気がしていたのでした。年会長の小安さんの方針で、皆がデータを前にとことん議論ができるよう、ポスター討論を中心にすえました。ポスター討論の間は、他の行事はいっさいなく、ポスター討論会場はいやはや、たいへんな熱気でした。
機能性食品と関係が深い発表もたくさんありました。ワークショップでは、木曜日の「『食』と『カラダ』の相互作用：メタゲノミクスからニュートリゲノミクスまで」が、2時間半ずっと、立ち見でした。会場が狭いこともあり、中に入れない方も多数見受けました。
