そーせいグループの業績が急拡大している。2015年3月期の売上高は前年同期比77.4%増の36億7100万円、営業利益は同46.6%増の11億800万円だった。スイスNovartis社に導出している慢性閉塞性肺疾患(COPD)治療薬「シーブリ」と「ウルティブロ」の日欧での販売額が増加しており、ロイヤルティーが伸びている。また、Novartis社は昨年12月にシーブリとウルティブロを米国でも承認申請しており、それによるマイルストーンも寄与した。

政府の健康・医療戦略専門調査会は2015年5月27日、医療分野研究開発推進計画の実行状況について評価結果を取りまとめた。医療分野研究開発推進計画は昨年7月22日、健康・医療戦略推進本部が決定した。医療分野の研究開発及びその環境整備、成果の普及について、2014年度から5年間を対象に、政府が講ずべき施策をまとめたもの。
