リプロセルとSBIホールディングスの子会社のSBIファーマは、iPS細胞を心筋細胞などに分化させた際、残留している未分化iPS細胞だけを選択的に除去できる技術を開発したことを、2015年6月8日に発表した。

東北大学東北メディカル・メガバンク機構は2015年6月10日、約7000人を対象とした地域住民コホート調査の統計解析結果を発表。沿岸部と内陸部とを比較したところ、心理的苦痛や抑うつ傾向を示すスコアや、心的外傷後ストレス反応（Posttraumatic Stress Reaction：PTSR）の該当者が、沿岸部の住民で高かったことが明らかになった。
