新薬開発の成功率は、開発する薬剤の標的や適応症が適切であることを示す遺伝的なエビデンスが存在する場合に高まるようだ。英GlaxoSmithKline（GSK）社のMatthew R Nelson氏らは、分析結果をNature Genetics誌電子版に2015年6月29日に報告した。
