厚生労働省は2016年4月12日、第5回革新的医薬品・医療機器創出のための官民対話を開催した。出席した日本製薬団体連合会、日本製薬工業協会、米国研究製薬工業協会（PhRMA）、欧州製薬団体連合会（EFPIA）などの製薬関連団体が、消費税増税時の薬価調査の見送りや、特例拡大再算定の撤廃を要望した。

慶應イノベーション・イニシアティブ（KII、東京・港）の山岸広太郎社長が2016年4月、都内で本誌の取材に応じた。KIIは慶應大発ベンチャーの支援のため、2015年12月に設立されたベンチャーキャピタル（VC）だ。慶應学術事業会が80％、野村ホールディングスが20％の株式を持つ。慶應大OBで、携帯電話向けゲームなどを手がける「グリー」の創業メンバーで副社長も務めた山岸氏は、「慶應大には東大のような研究結果を実用化するエコシステムがない」と強調、デジタルヘルスやバイオインフォマティクス、再生医療などにも投資を行っていくと話す。
