2016年4月3日から7日、京都で開催された第13回人類遺伝学国際会議（ICGH2016）報告3部作の最終レポートをお送りします。広範な領域で今までの医学や医療を根底から覆す医学革命が進展しています。この変化を見逃し、古い常識のままで研究開発や商品化を進めていては、ある日、とんでもない時間の無駄をしてしまったことを後悔するはずです。新薬や診断薬、医療機器を開発している皆さんは、医学革命を好機として活用すべきであります。最終回は米Stanford大学遺伝学のポスドクBrian D. 実験動植物や微生物などライフサイエンスの研究に用いられるバイオリソースの体系的な収集・保存・提供などの体制整備を行う国家プロジェクトのこと。2002年度から文部科学省がライフサイエンスの総合的な推進を図るために行ってきた。現在は文科省の補助金を受けて医療医療研究開発機構（AMED）が実施している。プロジェクトは具体的には、1.中核的拠点整備プログラム、2．ゲノム情報など整備プログラム、3．基盤技術整備プログラム、4．情報センター整備プログラム――の4つのプログラムからなる。
