東京大学大学院医学研究科神経病理学分野・附属病院早期・探索開発推進室の岩坪威教授らが、8月23日(13時〜18時)に東京大学伊藤記念ホールでアルツハイマー病の超早期介入をテーマにした国際シンポジウムを開催する。アルツハイマー病は発症してからでは根本的メカニズムを標的とした薬物(疾患修飾薬)が効き難く、より早期の介入効果に期待が集まっている。超早期介入の世界の趨勢、さらに日本ではこれらをどのように進めていくべきか、そのために必要な官民パートナーシップのあり方なども討議される予定だ。
