米Five Prime Therapeutics社は2016年6月27日、人工多能性幹細胞（iPSCs）から造血系幹細胞 (HSCs)を産生する手法を見出す新規の研究プロジェクトで、Minnesota大学医学部と共同研究を行うと発表した。HSCsは、体内に移植されると造血システム再生することができる。同共同研究プロジェクトはRegenerative Medicine Minnesotaが資金を提供する。
