ファンケルが2016年7月6日、“イノベーション研究所”と位置付けて新設した総合研究所の第二研究所を公開した。横浜市戸塚区にある総合研究所で、研究所の見学会と懇談会を開催し、報道関係者やアナリストなど100人以上が参加した。「イノベーション研究所の新設は3年前に意思決定した」と、創業者であるファンケルの池森賢二代表取締役会長は、懇談会の最初のあいさつで話した。イノベーション研究所の建設は2014年8月に着工し、2016年5月26日に竣工した。投資額は15億円。
