エムスリー傘下で遺伝子検査など先端的な検査を医師に紹介・取り次ぎするサービスを手掛けるG-TAC（東京・港、植松正太郎社長）は2016年7月20日、遺伝子解析サービス大手の米Pathway Genomics社と業務提携し、同社の日本での代理業務を手掛けると発表した。

エヌビィー健康研究所（北海道札幌市、高山喜好社長）と塩野義製薬は2016年7月15日、新規感染症治療薬の創製のために必要な創薬標的を探索することを目的とした共同研究契約を締結（関連記事）。エヌビィー健康研究所は、塩野義製薬が北海道大学構内に保有するシオノギ創薬イノベーションセンター内に研究室を新設し、同社が培ってきたシーズ評価系作製技術を活用し、低分子医薬品の創製を目指す。加えて、同社と北海道大学人獣共通感染症リサーチセンターの喜田宏特別招聘教授（同社科学顧問）との感染症分野での抗体医薬創製を目指した共同研究についても、新設する研究室で研究を加速する計画だ。その研究成果については、塩野義製薬に優先的交渉権を付与することになった。今回の契約締結の経緯などについて、同社の高山社長に聞いた。
