2016年7月20日、米Pathway Genomics社がエムスリー傘下のG-TACと提携し、日本で事業を開始するというニュースが入ってきました。G-TACが日本での窓口を務め、9月より順次、日本からもPathway Genomics社のサービスにアクセスできるようになります。まずはDTCでも行われているような、ダイエットなどの生活習慣や皮膚の老化に関するアドバイスに用いられる解析からスタートしますが、年内にも血中のcell free DNA(cfDNA)の検出など、より臨床での有用性が高いサービスを、相対的に安価に受けられるようになりそうです。
