ハイペップ研究所（京都市上京区）の軒原清史代表が2016年8月5日、ハイペップ研からスピンオフした新規創薬ベンチャー企業ピプルス・ファーマ（PIPLS Pharma Inc.）を設立した。新会社は、ハイペップ研究所で培ったペプチド合成の成果を臨床に用いるためのGMP製造の役割を担う。「韓国のファンドから出資したいという申し出があり、GMP製造施設の整備を実現できることになった」と、ピプルスの創業者で代表も務める軒原代表は語る。

グリーンペプタイドは2016年8月9日、神奈川県立がんセンターと新規遺伝子変異抗原「Neo Antigen」の探索と臨床応用の共同研究契約を締結したと発表した。契約締結日から2018年3月30日まで、神奈川県立病院機構の神奈川県立がんセンター臨床研究所、およびグリーンペプタイドを実施場所として研究を進める。
