九州大の研究グループ、心筋梗塞後の死細胞の貪食を促進する蛋白質発見  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2016-12-6 18:03)

九州大学大学院薬学研究院薬効安全性学分野の仲矢道雄准教授、黒瀬等教授を中心とする研究グループは、2016年11月30日、心筋梗塞で死んだ細胞の貪食を促進する蛋白質MFG-E8（Milk fat globule-EGF factor 8 protein）を発見したと発表した。しかも、MFG-E8を産生する細胞は、これまで貪食能を持つことが知られていなかった筋線維芽細胞であることも突き止めた。MFG-E8を介した筋線維芽細胞による死細胞の効率的な貪食が炎症の拡大を抑制し、心機能を改善する可能性があることから、心筋梗塞の新たな治療法につながるとして期待される。
