まずは、機能性表示食品の届出情報のアップデイトから。2016年9月29日公表分までで、2016年度のBシリーズが138件となり、ここ1週間で8件増えました。新規成分など特に注目の届け出が無いようなので、記事にとりまとめていません。

キッコーマンはキッコーマン寄付講座「醸造微生物学講座」を東京大学大学院農学生命科学研究科に2016年10月1日に開設すると、9月30日に発表した。寄付総額は未開示。同社が大学に寄付講座を設置するのは、東京医科歯科大学大学院医歯学総合研究科に2012年度に設置した女性健康医学講座に次いでこれが2つ目。医科歯科大の寄付講座は2016年度に第2期が始まり、産婦人科医の寺内公一氏が准教授から教授に昇任した。

さて、知人に薦められて、河出書房新社の『サピエンス全史』という本を読んだのですが、久々に大興奮させられたというか、大いに考えさせられました。英Oxford大学でPh.Dを取得し、現在エルサレムのHebrew Universityで歴史学を教えているYuval Noah Harariというイスラエルの歴史学者が著した書籍で、英語のタイトルは「Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind」といい、2014年に出版されて世界的ベストセラーになったそうです。
