特集、進化を迫られる食品の機能性表示  from 日経バイオテクONLINE  (2016-10-10 0:31)

2015年4月に施行された機能性表示食品の制度が、この9月末で1年半が経過した。2016年10月3日公開時点で、447件の届け出受理が公表されており、届け出企業数は200に迫る。食用の天然素材の健康機能性を追求している有力企業の素材がほぼ出そろった。

2016年10月3日、スウェーデンKarolinska研究所のノーベル委員会はノーベル生理学・医学賞を東京工業大学の大隅良典栄誉教授（写真）に授与すると発表した。授賞理由は、細胞成分を分解し、リサイクルするための基本的なプロセスであるオートファジーの発見と、そのメカニズムの解明。日本人のノーベル生理学・医学賞の受賞は、1987年の利根川進氏以来4人目。特に2012年以降の5年間では山中伸弥氏、大村智氏に続いて3人目の受賞であり、日本のライフサイエンス研究が世界トップ水準であることを強く印象付けた。

まずは、機能性表示食品の届出情報のアップデイトから。2016年10月6日公表分までで、2016年度のBシリーズが146件になりました。ここ1週間で8件増えたようです。初年度である2015年度のAシリーズ310件（撤回を除くと303件）との合計では、456件です。 　この中では、アミノアップ化学の低分子化ライチポリフェノール「オリゴノール」を機能性関与成分とする機能性表示食品の届け出の2件目が、登場したことを紹介します。「低分子化ライチポリフェノールは運動で生じる身体的な疲労感を軽減する機能がある」と表示します。
