今週はCiRA取材の予告で、失礼させていただきます。京都大iPS細胞のiPS細胞ストック製造施設の担当者と関連研究者とのインタビューをじっくり行うことができました。同研究所も今回の臍帯血由来iPS細胞ストック供給停止を極めて重く受け止めていました。既にこの事件をきっかけに、政府家、文部科学省に加えて財務省、そして産業革新機構、さらには企業群も大きく舵を切り始めました。早急に取材を終え、事件の波紋と今後の展望をお伝えしたいと考えています。 出張でばたばたしており、なおかつ、東京大学で厚生労働科学研究費補助金「健康医療分野のデータベースを用いた戦略研究」合同フォーラムに参加しており、もうすぐパネルディスカッションが始まってしまいます。申し訳ありませんが、本日はこれまででご容赦願います。

日本板硝子は、モバイル遺伝子検査機（小型・軽量のバッテリー駆動リアルタイムPCR装置）を2017年内に発売する。30年前から事業化している独自の屈折率分布型SELFOCレンズを使用した小型蛍光検出法や、産業技術総合研究所（産総研）が基本技術を開発したマイクロ流路遺伝子増幅法などを組み合わせることにより、世界で最も小型・高速・高精度な装置を実現した。科学技術振興機構（JST）先端計測分析・機器開発プログラムの一環で、産総研、ゴーフォトン（茨城県つくば市、西澤尚文代表取締役）と共同で開発した。
