心配していたことが起こりました。京都大学iPS細胞研究所(CiRA)が樹立、頒布していたヒトiPS細胞ストック（臍帯血由来）の供給を今月停止したのです。末梢血由来のiPS細胞ストックは供給していますが、富士フイルムの子会社である米国CDI社の特許が成立しており、この細胞をライセンス無しに企業が商品化することは難しい状況です。このメールでもGMP基準に準拠せずiPS細胞ストックを供給している問題を繰り返し指摘してきました。国はCiRAに丸投げするのではなく、米国のように国が責任をもって、GMP基準で製造したヒトiPS細胞ストックを供給すべきであります。ヒトES細胞研究に宗教的信念から反対するTrump政権が間違いなく再生医療のエンジンとしてiPS細胞を重視する政策をとることが確実となった今、文科省、厚労省、AMED、そして首相官邸健康医療推進本部は衆知を集めて、GMP製造によるクリニカルグレードのiPS細胞ストックの供給体制を早急に構築しなくてはなりません。それも今、すぐにです。

タカラバイオは2017年1月30日、日米で開発している腫瘍溶解性ウイルスHF10（TBI-1401）について、国内で悪性黒色腫を対象にフェーズIIについて、医薬品医療機器総合機構（PMDA）に治験届を提出したと発表した。治験届の受理後、試験実施施設における治験審査委員会の審査を経て、2017年4月にもフェーズIIを開始する。
