東京大学大学院薬学系研究科の嶋田一夫教授らは、細胞内シグナル伝達蛋白質であるG蛋白質（グアニンヌクレオチド結合蛋白質）の発癌性変異体が癌を引き起こす機構を、核磁気共鳴装置（NMR）法で解明した。構造平衡の変化に着目した新しい創薬戦略に寄与する成果。Nature Communications誌で2017年2月22日に発表した。蛋白質間相互作用（PPI）に作用する中分子化合物などの開発にも役立ちそうだ。
