カルナバイオサイエンスは2017年2月13日、2016年12月期の決算説明会を開催した。吉野公一郎社長は説明会の席上、今後は開発早期のパイプラインについて、製薬企業とまずは共同研究契約を行い、臨床入り後に導出契約につなげていきたい考えを示した。また、2016年に発売したDGKキナーゼについて、今後化合物スクリーニングの受託やアッセイ系の構築などの事業が大型化することを期待している旨を強調した。
